SEEK MONEY MATTERS REPORT

SEEK

Find your story

After over 25 years in market, employment marketplace, SEEK is firmly positioned as market leader. However, with new challengers arriving in the recruitment space, SEEK needs to protect and maintain its strong standing as an authority on the labour market.

To do this, we had to maintain momentum in SEEK’s newly established data-led earned media relations program - Signature Insights - to reinforce SEEK as an authority in the Australian labour market.

A white space opportunity was identified: as living costs rise and Australian workers continue to prioritise work-life balance, a fundamental shift is reshaping the workforce. The tension between financial security and workplace flexibility, and how this influences career decisions, is only getting more complex.

Earn it

We worked with SEEK and a third party research partner to craft and commission independent researching asking over 3,000 workers what they think about flexibility, work-life balance and the trade-offs.

We extracted a single, easy‑to‑understand narrative that gave us our earned media hook: 65% of Australians (68% of Kiwis) prioritise work‑life balance over higher pay, yet many would give this up for a 20% pay rise.

Through earned media relations, spokesperson profiling and content creation, we secured widespread national tier‑one coverage across Australia and New Zealand across TV, radio and online.

We also sourced case studies to offer a human face to the story, and produced blog copy for SEEK’s website to extend the story into owned channels.
